Healers and Shamans
As we move deeper into the Inspiration Millenium, more and more individuals find themselves in business but not of the business world.
They face the same needs as plumbers or financial planners. Who is their ideal client or patient; where do they find this person; how do they approach them; how do they position themelves; how do they maintain responsible profit margins yet offer a service which will bring repeat patronage? How do they remain true to their core values and received teachings?
Yogini’s, alternative healers, hypnotists and individuals who work with energy, are just a few professionals who have particular business and practice needs. They often feel inner conflict about setting up their small business, especially when they have received their training from a teacher or culture which has flourished outside of the world of consumerism.
How do they retain their original vision, remain true to their roots and keep their work “pure” at the same time that they generate enough income to care for themselves, their staff and their families?
I have worked with yogini’s, acupuncturists, Reiki practitioners, hypnotists and deeply ethical businesspeople who have struggled to remain true to their own values yet be successful.
If your intention is to offer a service of integrity to others, yet you find yourself swimming in the same waters as the cyber snake oil salesman who will offer to rid you of all fear or back pain for three easy payments of $39.95, please contact me for more details about my “Ethos” coursework.
It covers such prosaic necessities as Vision statement, Mission statement and Ideal Client Profile. It also covers Ethical branding, Intentional Advertising, Networking with Integrity, True Marketing and “How to ask for the “sale” when you’re not really selling anything”.
Too many caring, passionate healers and non-mainstream practitioners flounder because of their deeply ingrained belief systems of what Marketing entails. They place themselves at odds with the very methodology which can ensure success.
A market is simply a place where necessities can be gathered for a price. In the old days, money may not have even changed hands; goods were bartered. If your clients or patients need your services, you need to help them find you by marketing to them.
Marketing is the first step of your compassionate service to them.
“Ethos” is best experienced in fellowship as a small group experience by teleclass or in person. If you are in connection with several people in your profession who would like to explore this coursework together, please contact me for availability.
If you are an individual, please contact me for availability of the next “Ethos” group or for individual consultation for your business.
Please note, to begin work as an individual you should have at least a first draft of your Vision and Mission Statements in place. The True Marketing Plan can be created in session.
